
Ford India have reported a three fold jump in August 2010 sales at 7,925 units when compared to the same month last year.
Ford’s Figo continues its strong run and has garnered over 34,000 booking ever since its launch in the last 25 weeks. The company has already started to export the Figo to the South African market starting May 2010. Ford has already announced that it will export the Figo to 50 more markets worldwide including Mexico, North Africa and middle east starting next year and will launch 8 new models by the year 2015 starting with the all new Fiesta.
“The Figo phenomenon continues, and in addition to strong sales in India, we are excited about the opportunity to export this success to other markets around the world,” Ford India President and Managing Director Michael Boneham said in the release.
