
The record run for the Indian automobile industry continues with Bajaj Auto announcing its sales numbers for the month of August 2010.
The company has clocked an all time high monthly sales of 3,29,364 units in August, representing 55% jump when compared to the same month last year in which it sold 2,13,072 units.
Motorcycles were the biggest gainer with 59% jump in sales to 2,98,176 units compared to 1,82,441 units in the previous year. The company sold the highest number of Pulsar and Discover bikes last month.
Three wheeler sales for the month stand at 40,188 units, a growth of over 34% when compared to 30,021 units sold in the same month last year.
Exports for both two and three wheelers have also increased by 31% to finish at 98,578 units against 75,164 units in August 2009.

The Entire Auto sector is performing well. Maruti, Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto have all produced record performances. This reflects general uptrend in the whole economic scenario in the country.
