Maruti Suzuki has hiked the prices of all its models with immediate effect except the best selling Alto citing ’sharp increase in input costs’ which the company has decided to pass on to the consumers.
The hike in price ranges from Rs 2,000 to a maximum of Rs 7,500 amounting to 1-1.5 percent across models. The price of MSIL’s best seller Alto has not been altered but it may increase after the new Alto K-Series is launched tomorrow, 4th August.
The company had earlier this month announced their quarterly profit numbers which dipped by 20%.

It is a good decision to do not hike the price of small car, because the prospective customers of small cars are more sensitive about the price factor.
