As we reported earlier, Honda Siel Cars have launched a new variant of the Jazz hatchback in the Indian market, christened the Jazz X.
We have already covered the changes in our earlier post but lets give you a run down on the new features again
The new Jazz X over and above the features of the Jazz Active comes with the following extra’s
- Body Colored Front Grille
- Body Colored Tail Gate Spoiler
- Front Fog Lamps
- New Blue/Black Interiors
- USB Port for the Audio
- Driver Seat Height Adjustment
- Sporty Gun Metal Finish 5-Spoke Alloy Wheels
- New Rallye Red Color
Jump over for the pricing details and the official webpage link.
The new Jazz X has been priced at a whopping INR 7.53 Lakhs Ex-Showroom Delhi, making it more expensive than some of the fully loaded big saloons out there. The problem with the Jazz is not the car itself but the sky high pricing even though the car is built locally with more than 77% local content. Honda also takes advantage of the small car tax rebate by using a smaller 1.2 liter engine which is not passed on to the consumer. All that remains to be seen is the market response which we predict won’t be favorable until Honda addresses Jazz’s biggest weakness, its price.
