Our friends at Brenda Piddy & Company have managed to get the most clear spy shots of the next generation Mercedes Benz CLS that is due for a debut later this year as a 2011 model.
The new CLS as seen in pictures retains most of the stylistic elements already shown on the CLS Shooting Brake Concept and the F800 Concept. Retaining the flowing form of the original CLS, the new one is a combination of smooth and curvy and edgy and complex.
The edgy front headlamps are swept further back while the larger front grill and larger central air dam make the front fascia look aggressive. The rear is still smooth with larger LED tail lamps and the rear fender retains the hunch over the rear wheels from the new E-Class.
The 2011 CLS will be offered with a slew of engines of which two petrol would be – a 3.5 liter direct injected V6 with 300 bhp and a direct injected 4.7 liter V8 with 430 bhp and 516 lb-ft of torque.
The new 2011 CLS will debut at the Paris Motor Show later this year and will go on sale immediately afterwards.
Stay tuned for more details.
