Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler Launch

Honda two wheelers India has launched the new CB Unicorn Dazzler at a ceremony here in New Delhi.

In a nut shell the new CB Unicorn Dazzler (a pretty gay name if you ask me) is just a rehashed Unicorn in prettier but much more tackier clothes. Absolutely nothing has changed mechanically apart from the headline engine power out which is now quoted at 14 bhp @ 8500 rpm, even the stupid most basic mono suspension at the back is retained!

The bike essentially stands nowhere, a bit like the company executives at the  launch where they were at sea answering questions from the media. New features on the the new CB Unicorn Dazzler include a digital instrument console with analogue tachometer and digital odometer, 17 inch alloy wheels, 110/80 section tubeless tyre at the rear and 80/100 at the front purely for the looks, half naked chain cover and a rear disc brake for added stopping power, pretty ironic for bike which doesn’t have much power at the first place.

Other additions, off-course cosmetic include a new front biking fairing with the much touted screenless front cowl and a unique floating side cowl with the so-called 3D Honda logo.

The bike has been launched in four colors – Armour Gold Metallic, Pearl Siena Red, Pearl Nightstar Black and Sword Silver Metallic.

I will write an exclusive article on what I think about the bike later in the day, so stay tuned! To sum up the bike and our dissapointment with Honda, do yourself a favor and buy something else!

looks like you guys have been paid by rival company to write this shit, unicorn has probably the best 150cc available in the market. yes, its true that dazzler has cosmetic upgrades, but tubeless tires and rear disk is definitely a plus in terms of safety, especially for maniacs like me, who traveled almost 900kms in a day on it…

Chill dude, honda is done with all cosmetic makeovers of its scooters 125s and now with dazzler it has nothing left in hand… it also has Fireblade and CB1000 to compete with hyab and R1, also got a presence in 100cc with twister, whatelse is it left with? … >>>>> A 250cc :)

You dont have to be so rude at honda. as biker told unicorn’s 150cc engine is bulletproof!

I just test drove the bike, looks like Honda had a meeting with “Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of India” prior to launching the bike and is committed in controlling Indian population. Every-time I brake my balls get strongly bashed against the fuel tank… I’m damn confident that in-case of a sudden or even a minor front collision, ball busting is for sure! Even snug-fitting underwear’s wont help!

HI it ’s really super . i’m in tamil nadu , coimbatore , when i can get this bike in our city showrooms

[...] Although we have no technical details so far, these pictures which come to you courtesy blurust@team-bhp.com will give you a fairly good idea of how the bike looks. There nothing much to talk about looks per se apart from that half bikini fairing and the floating instrument console, much like the recently launched Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler. [...]

Hi all..i have bought uni dazzler on May 31st…Completed my 15 days and it has touched 400kms…Only one word i can say is Awesome or excellent or great….now i m feeling the slogan of Honda “I Enjoy the Quality”it has very smooth engine with comfort riding…. its definitely a gud upgraded package than old unicorn…the wider rear tyre, sexy digi console, power increment and tubeless tyre gives u a pleasant driving and sporty look…paying just 4000 bucks extra u get thise upgrades than older Uni which is good value for money thing… In City riding i acheived mileage of 52…Depends on driving style..but it gives around 50-55 kmpl in city riding conditons…In top speed(60 – 70kmph)also bike doesnt makes noise and vibes..feels like flying….only doubt is it doesnt have kick start..oly elec start..i ve doubted and scared while hearing first..after enquiring dealr he said ..it comes wit MF battery and sure ther will be no prob for 4-5 years in battery….gear shift is really smooth and easy….braking is excellent…one more thing i like to clarify is here i seen in several posts that rear disk is risky and tough for fresh new first time riders…But the truth is rear disc is not powerfula s front one…i’ve felt rear dis is some wat 20 -30% sharper than drum brake…but ther is no question of riskiness in rear discs….on the whole its a sporty commuter,…..i m very much satisfied…it simply overtook old uni in all aspects…while comparing to pulsar(Poor per and ewngine and no comfort..only style) and gs(rust prob and relaiablity of engine) and fz(Better – but fails in mileage)..its better in all aspects…but it can beat the style of fz..but in performance and specs wise it has comparitively better than above 3…so guys go for it and Have a enjoyable riding…if any queries mail me to sun_vijay2003@yahoo.co.in …bye..
