Sportscar maker Porsche has announced a recall for its recently launched four door coupe Panamera across the world. The recall is being undertaken to fix a faulty seat belt mount which could fail when the front seats are adjusted in the extreme front position.
The recall affects all the 11,300 Panameras sold till date. According to Porsche’s press release, the Panamera’s front seat belts could fail and detach themselves from the anchoring system if seats are placed in the nearest position to the board. In such a state the tensioning system no longer functions at the normal parameters and could cause seat belt failure.
The problem was first discovered by Porsche Australian division.
