Ferrari has claimed that the 599xx has become the first production derived sports car to breach the 7 minute barrier at the famed Nurburgring, lapping it in an astonishing 6:58.16 seconds.
The 700 bhp 599xx piloted by Raffaele De Simone completed the grueling 20.832 kilometers long Nordschleife circuit at an average speed of almost 180 kph! And while there are questions being asked if this is actually a true record, we say enjoy the lap while it lasts including the melodious V12 scream and let the fighting and proving to the companies.
