The braking system on Fortuner was essentially the same as the Innova and was deemed too inadequate for its size, weight and power by the reviewers and the owners alike. The upgraded brakes are now Prado spec with larger and thicker front dics and upgraded brake pads.
Toyota will also upgrade the brakes for its existing customers as well but on a case to case basis.
