If you are a regular at autoholiks, you would have already seen the spy pictures of the new Wagon R which we published earlier.

The new 2010 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is a completely new product inside out. The car is longer, wider and features a wheelbase of 2400 mm, longer than even the Swift which means even more space on the inside. Other new features include throughly overhauled interiors and a new dashboard with integrated stereo, rear wash and wipe + de-fogger for the top end VXi and optional ABS and Airbags.

The propulsion will come from the 1.0 litre three cylinder k series engine from the A-Star with 67 bhp of maximum power which is mated to the new gearbox with detent pin technology for smoother shifting.

The new Wagon R will be launched in the last week of this month with an expected price of INR 3.3 Lakhs for the base LXi  to 4.0 Lakhs for the top-end VXi. The optional ABS and Airbags variant will cost a further 40k’s over the top end VXi.
