And you thought Mustang and fuel economy were mutually exclusive? Not now, no longer! Welcome the all new 2011 Ford Mustang V6 which comes with a more powerful and efficient 3.7 Litre engine which develops 305 bhp of maximum power and is the first 300+ bhp engine to average more than 31 mpg on the highway… No less!

The 31 mpg EPA rating is certified for the 3.7 litre V6 engine mated to six speed automatic transmission. Even the standard 6-speed manual is rated at 30 mpg on the highway while both the models deliver an identical 19 mpg in the city.
Mustang V6 is powered by a lightweight all aluminium 3.7 litre engine with dual overhead camshafts and advanced Twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) which adjusts the valvetrain in miliseconds depending on the driver input to deliver the best possible combination of performance and economy.
Other efficiency enhancements features include optimized aerodynamics, new electric power steering and six speed manual and automatic transmissions which allow for low rpm cruising.
Although we hate cliches we have to say “Its like having your cake and eating it too”
