
The news just keeps getting better for Tata Motors this year. The company has posted record sales registering a massive 58% growth in total sales for the month of February 2010 YOY.
Total commercial vehicles sales stood at 39,205, the highest ever, consisting of 21,764 LCV’s and M&HCV sales of 17,441, a growth of 67% compared to 23,454 vehicles sold in Fenruary 2009.
The passenger vehicles sales stood at 29,941 units (26,985 Tata + 2,256 Fiat) in February 2010, again the highest ever and a 43.7% increase compared to 20,348 units a year earlier.
Sales of Tata cars at 26,985 units is the highest ever for the company. Tata Nano sold a decent 4,105 units while the Indica family sold a toal of 11,502 units during the month, the highest for this fiscal. Tata’s Indigo range sold a massive 7,373 units, the highest ever since Indigo sedan was first launched in 2002 and a growth of over 75% compared to same month last year! The recently launched Indigo Manza has found flavor with the buyers and CS is already a hotseller.
The Sumo/Safari range sold 4,005 units again the highest in the fiscal and a growth of 14% over February last year.
