Scoop: All New 2010 Maruti Suzuki WagonR Revealed!

So finally here it is! Carrying on from where we left we now have the pictures of the all new WagonR which will be launched on April 15th. These images come to you courtesy sidindica@team-bhp.com, which as we all know is the leading automotive forum in India.

Unlike the last time, the upgrade this time around is inside out and comprehensive. The basic profile remains the same but everything else has been changed. The front fascia is now sharper with new grille, headlights and bumpers while the upgraded rear features redesigned tail lamps and rear windows glass. Rear wash and wipe will also make an appearance on the higher end VXi model which also come with optional ABS and Airbags for enhanced safety.

The sides take the inspiration from the WagonR from Japan with all new doors and shoulder line tapering upwards from the front to the rear. The front windows are huge which would give the interiors an airy ambience while the rear window give an impression of being slightly smaller than the current model.

The interiors have also been comprehensively updated with all new dashboard which features sharp lines and creases and new central console which comes with an integrated stereo presumably with AUX-In for ipod connectivity and larger circular control for the Aircon.

The new WagonR will be launched on April 15th and will come with the new 1.0 litre K-Series engine which already does duty under the hood of A-Star and new Zen Estilo. The engine will also be mated to a new gearbox which will take care of the notchy shift of the current unit.

The new WagonR is expected to cost slightly more than the Zen Estilo which means a INR 3.3 to 3.5 Lakh price tag for the base LXi with power steering and A/C.
