Audi has predicted strong Q1 sales after robust performance in February 2010 which saw the sales rise by a healthy 19.9 percent, YOY.
“We are on course for a strong first quarter and that is mainly thanks to our leading position in China and western Europe,” Audi sales chief Peter Schwarzenbauer said in a statement on Monday.

The company sold a total of 75,900 vehicles in February 2010, a gain of 19.9% when compared to sales in February last year. For the first two months of the year, Audi volumes have risen 28.7% to 153,700 vehicles, thanks to strong sales in China where volumes have nearly doubled.
China has also overtook Germany as Audi’s single largest market by about 4,600 vehicles during the two-month period.
