India is a tough market to sell but car makers are hell bent to launch products to suit Indian car buyer needs. Following their latest obsession for diesel, Jaguar has decided to launch XF powered by a 3.0 Litre V6 diesel engine in India soon.
The current offering by the company is the 5.0 litre V8 petrol which produced massive 395 bhp. The new diesel version will widen the companies portfolio.
Mike O’Driscoll, Managing Director, Jaguar Cars, said, “It is a matter of months before the diesel version makes its debut in India.”
“We are introducing the 3.0-litre diesel with a non-particulate filter and will ensure that this engine can run on the type of diesel fuel available in India,” O’Driscoll clarified.
XF diesel will carry an estimated price tag of Rs 50 lakh. Current V8 petrol carries a price tag of Rs 68.29 lakh (ex-showroom mumbai). The price difference is huge and will certainly urge people to buy the diesel variant over petrol hence propelling the sales for the company in India
