Bajaj Auto will launch a naked version of the all conquering Pulsar 220 DTSi very soon. “The fastest Indian” as Bajaj likes to call its baby will come with a lighter bikini fairing from the older P200 DTSi while the rest of it remains exactly the same except for the price tag which is expected to go down by a couple of k’s or even more!
The streetfighter styled bike comes with a 220 cc engine fed by the biggest carb ever used on an Indian bike, a 32 mm venturi carburetter and delivers a claimed 21 ps. The taller final drive enables the 220 to register a true 135 kmph top speed, again fastest for an indian single cylinder bike. The front suspension is fat 37mm telescopic forks while the rear is the gas charged nitrox shock absorbers.
The tyre size also remains the same at 90/90/R-17 for the front and 120/80/R-17 for the rear with tubeless MRF Zappers with special soft compound rubber for better grip. The bike will in Bajaj’s pro-biking showroom by the end of this month.
